Mundane Moments that Matter (to me). COVID19 Edition

A daily log (or time-capsule) documenting the mundane but meaningful moments of my everyday life in quarantine. Here’s (almost) everything I did -in the order that I did them- yesterday.

Ting Zhang, assistant professor at Harvard Business School, stresses the significance of the everyday in a recent study. “What we wanted to do,” Dr. Zhang explains, “was show that people underestimate the value of documenting the present, especially the mundane. We hire photographers for special occasions, but don’t really capture the rich day-to-day experiences that make up so much of our life.”

Ting Zhang is right. How we spend our days is how we live our lives.

Document the present to stay present. We could all use a little bit of mindfulness right now.
